There is a saying in Chinese: When water raises, your boat will be lifted up too. In life, it means that when you surround yourself with good people, you will be lifted up higher.
We all know that when you are with positive person, you cannot be negative all the time; When you are with hardworking people, you don’t feel good being lazy; When you are with smart people, you will be smarter than before; When you are with honourable people, you will learn how to be a honourable person yourself.
Good people are like the sunshine. They will scatter their glory on you.
There is also another saying in Chinese: When you are near the black ink, You will be dyed black as well. In life, it means that when you surround yourself with bad people, you cannot help but get affected by their bad behaviour. Sometimes we do not have a choices. We simply cannot choose who are our siblings or coworkers, but we have every rights to shut our doors to the devil. We cannot let bad people drag us down; We cannot let them pass their virus to us. Isn’t it black and white clear?
The most unfortunate truth in life is that no matter how much you want to be with good people, they don’t come to you as you wish. You have to go on the journey of greatness to find the fellow travellers; And, no matter how much you don’t want to be with bad people, they come by freely like shadows. You have to put efforts to shed them away. My solution is very simple: Keep your face to the sunshine, so you can’t see the shadow!
