The epic movie Gandhi is a historical portrait of Mahatma Gandhi’s greatest achievement in India’s history. The movie chronologically narrates Gandhi’s legacy as a lawyer, politician, and India’s independence fighter and leader. It also recounts Gandhi’s struggle, his poetic speech, his love and his wisdom. What strikes me the most is his quote at the end of movie. He said:
“When I despair, I remember that all through history,
the way of truth and love has always won,
there have been tyrants and murderers,
and for a time they can seem invincible,
but in the end, they always fall. Think of it. Always. “
His quote is his faith we all should have and believe in. His quote is a wisdom we all should remember and act on. Yes, again and again, human history faithfully has proven that truth and love always won.
