Last week Elon Muck finalized his Twitter takeover. He paid $44 billion for a money-loss social media machine. That is the price he would like to pay for free speech.
Elon believes “Free speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated.”
Elon’s belief is a leap of faith. It’s an idealist’s fantasy. It’s a freedom movement that is years premature. Twitter is a global social media platform. As time goes on, he will know politics and culture will make the simplest idea much more complicated.
Now, he faces the challenges to run his Telsa, SpaceX, and Twitter all at the same time. He walks on a very difficult tightrope to balance them all. We know he is a fearless pioneer in the environment, universe, and humanity. Exploring unknowns come with sacrifice and excitement. Wish the bird gets a free ride from Tesla. And, wish it is lifted by SpaceX.
