After a long stretch of tension, the weekend trade talks between the U.S. and China brought something refreshing: a bit of calm, a bit of cooperation. Nothing dramatic happened, but both sides seemed more open to listening. That alone is a big deal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the same time, news of possible ceasefire talks between Russia and Ukraine\u2014though still early\u2014gives the world a small but meaningful dose of hope.
