I used to be hard, dry, and a bit of a mouthful—
left your tongue puckered and your patience tested.
(Yeah… sorry about that.)
But time has its ways.
Now, I’ve ripened—softened by seasons, sweetened by life.
Sure, I still get squeezed now and then (who doesn’t?)
But I no longer mind.
Because if I can bring a little sweetness to your day,
then all that softening?
Wasn’t weakness—
It was wisdom taking root.
