John Williams – The King of Cinematic Music

Feb. 8 last week was famous composer John Williams’ 87th birthday. On that day, John Williams’ music were repeatedly requested by callers to my local classic music radio channel. John Williams, in my opinion, is the most recognized and beloved composer in cinematic history. His music has the power to make you lost in your thoughts, lost in all kinds of emotions—love, joy, sympathy, courage and hope. His music can also make your heart tender, make you feel the sense of mission…. If literature is the portrayal of authors themselves, John Williams’ music is the portrayal of his own characters—classic, sophisticated and charming. Like those literary masterpieces, John Williams’ music is so eloquent and so touching. No doubt he is one of the greatest composers in our time.

The following is one of the best movie scores from John Williams: Once upon a time in the west
