Step by Step 3D Demonstration of Yang Style Tai Chi (24 Forms) – Part 2

Tai Chi is a traditional Chinese martial art. It’s very popular in China because it has a lot of health benefits both on your body and your mind. The simplest Tai Chi has 24 forms. Each of them has a unique name. This post shows a step by step 3D demonstrations from Form 9 to Form 16. The completed video is shown below. Remember: when you practice, focus your eyes on the hand which moves in front of your eyes. You always squat down a little bit during the practice. Try to move your body and your arms as smoothly as passible. So, the movements look very graceful and classy.

 

9). Form 9: Single Whip

This is a transition form between Form 8 and Form 10.

Turn to the left.

Your left hand gently give a whip, and your left leg steps forward at the same time.

 

 

10). Form 10. Cloudy Hands

First, wave your left hand like a cloud.

Second, wave your right hand like a cloud and right leg move a little bit.

Repeat first time: wave your left hand and your right hand.

Repeat second time: wave your left hand and your right hand.

 

11). Form 11: Single Whip

Form 11 is a transition form between Form 10 and Form 12.

Turn to the left.

Your left hand gently give a whip and your left leg steps forward at the same time.

 

12). Form 12: High Pat on the Horse

First, your right leg goes half step forward.

Second, your right hand gives a high pat on the horse.

 

13) Form 13: Kick With Right Heel

First, your arms stroke back.

 Second, your arms stroke forward and kick your right heel at the same time.

 

14). Form 14: Strike Opponent’s Ears With Both Fists

This is transition form between Form 13 and Form 15.

Your arms and your right leg come back from kicking.

Your arms and your right leg go forward trying to strike opponent’s ears.

Turn your body to the left.

 

 

15) Form 15: Kick With Left Heel

First, your arms stroke back.

 Second, arms stroke forward and kick your left heel at the same time.

 

16) Form 16: Squat Down and Golden Rooster Stands Up (Left)

Turn right and turn back.

 Left leg steps forward. Squat down.

Golden rooster stands up on your left leg.
